The Marshall Project: Hair Forensics
The Marshall Project asked me to design and animate four gritty, organic GIFs to accompany an article debunking old-school hair analysis in crime scenes.
Using paper, charcoal, and a lightbox, I animated a strand of hair turning into DNA, a man, a dog, and a judge's gavel.
